Seeing systems break from the inside.
Inside a real technology company, I watched a team of genuinely talented people deliver inconsistently. Not because they lacked skill, the skill was there. Not because they lacked tools, we had plenty. The breakdown happened in the space between intention and execution: the accountability gaps, the ownership voids, the communication failures that no tool could fix.
Everyone was busy. Nobody owned the outcome end-to-end. The founder was spending the best hours of every day as organisational glue, connecting people and tasks that should have connected themselves.
